4 Flames[]
The Mech City has gradually been abandoned, like the fading glory of the Yings. Many people have left because this place has nothing but despair left here. Only Koi chooses to stay without hesitation.
For years, she has been protecting the city, struggling hard to maintain the dignity of the Yings and the Mech City with her talent in autotech. In fact, she grew up in this city, so there's no need to find a reason to stay. But the identity of Koi has turned this seemingly ordinary choice into a legend. Her parents were guests of the Yings.
As a descendant, people respects her for guarding the land when the Yings is in difficulties and waiting for the Yings' return. This wishful thinking has became a well-known story, and Koi finds it difficult to deny. She doesn't want others to link her waiting with something else, even if it brings her a good reputation. She chose to stay in the Mech City because she wants to wait for someone in this place of memory.
Koi once watch a boy carrying his backpack leave and disappear in the depth of the snowfield. She doesn't know whether he will come back. All she knows is she's got used to waiting.
5 Flames[]
Koi met the man on the machinist contest. After the contest, to be precise. Instead of following her parents home, she stayed there, still savoring the wonderous works she just saw. By then, the venue was almost deserted. The lack of people was exactly the reason why she notice him right away. Koi was surprised by how impertinent he was.
It's a janitor boy who shouldn't be there on the stage at all, not to mention touching machine parts. Under Koi's gaze, he was even toying with loose parts on the ground. The boy was learning Autotech, without authorization! It was a grave offense. The Yings could have his hide should they find out. As the sole witness, Koi essentially had the boy's fate in her hands.
One word could change everything. For the first time in her life, Koi decided to put rules aside for a while. She kept the boy's secret, and even joined him in his study. Autotech was the beginning, and the end. Koi was left in Mech City alone. She lingered around the boy's wooden hut, waiting for his return, or the lack thereof.
6 Flames[]
People thought the return of the princess meant Koi's long wait finally paid off. her life was about to take a new direction. As expected, she served the female heir of the Yings with full loyalty. She was always at the princess' side, giving support on the way to reviving the clan and Mech City.
But fate, oh cruel fate, it wasn't ready to leave her alone yet. To her surprise, the boy she's been waiting for came back to Mech City at about the same time, as a member of the Order. He's now known as Nerdo, a Will. Koi was torn between his mission and her own dedication. A dilemma.
Time flies. The world changed, but she never lost her original resolve. Koi remembered perfectly why she chose to stay and wait for a day that may not come.
