Yin Yue never doubted the justice she upheld. She is the adopted daughter of the Moon Castle's lord, and his favorite disciple. Always strict to herself, Yin Yue never slacks off a bit. She's been pursuing the right path and following her master's teachings all the time, as if nothing in the world matters more.
Yin Yue's talent in strength shaped her swift and fierce way of attack. Plus her righteous manner, she stood out among her peers like a future leader. Everyone in the Moon Castle and even the entire Wulin believe that no one can match this resolute lady. Even her partner Ye Feng is barely in her league.
Ye Feng is not happy with this statement, but it doesn't cause any isolation between them. At least Yin Yue thought so. She is always honest and outspoken, so she didn't scent the secret Ye Feng buried deep in his heart. Ye Feng feels inferior because of his aptitude, and clings to power. When Yin Yue finally learned Ye Feng's real thought, it was too late.

Yin Yue and Ye Feng made it to Lustre City to stop the Guai-Mian Disturbance and eradicate all evil forces. They were a celebrated pair in the Wulin, not only because what they did, but also their bond. They had the same dream and fought under the same banner.
Yin Yue never thought Ye Feng could have taken a different path, not even once. It was a completely different path, where the justice she so cherished was lower than dirt.
She had two choices. On one side was Ye Feng, her one true love. On the other side was justice, the thing she's been living for. So, a decision was made. Journeys end in lovers meeting, only by then they were sworn enemies.

Yin Yue kept asking herself whether things could have ended differently if she didn't take Ye Feng to Lustre City. In that case, the Couple of the Moon Castle would still be a thing. And she sure didn't have to kill Ye Feng.
She wouldn't meet the Soul guy from the Order, who made her question her own understanding of justice. But there is no such thing as "what if". Dead people are dead. Period. The living must carry on, free of burden, and on the right path.
The experience was nothing short of a rebirth to Yin Yue. She found justice in a new light. And she would lead the Moon Castle on the new path.
