Story[]
4 Flames[]
Many people have become a legend in Wulin, but no one could make countless girls fall for them as Jian Xuan. He is the sharp blade of the Order, a swordsman who ends people's life in the blink of an eye. For him, bloodshed is like a routine activity. Therefore, Jian Xuan can't understand why someone is willing to spend a fortune to find his whereabouts just to see the moment he wields his sword.
One day, he was drinking in a tavern and heard a story from a storyteller. Under the bright moonlight, a man in snowy white robe drew out his long sword with an emotionless face. With a flash of cold light, the swordsman disappeared, leaving nothing but a lonely shadow in the moonlight. Rumor has it that he never looked back at his rival, and everyone who got killed by his sword was smiling. They could all rest in peace because Jian Xuan uses the Sword of Mercy.
He once said that if you respect your rival, then you should give them a quick death. The storyteller smacked his desk, and received a great ovation. Sitting in a corner, Jian Xuan drank alone and laughed bitterly to himself. The storyteller was talking in excitement and the listeners were all listening attentively. Neither of them knew that this is not the life Jian XUan wants.

Jian Xuan's career in the Wulin started with his own family being wiped out by a bunch of bandits. Most who have seen Jian Xuan in person had trouble believing he had gone through such an ordeal. Because no one could have grown up with such a pure heart after witnessing that carnage. But those who REALLY know Jian Xuan would understand he would be one of the few exceptions.
He had seen people consumed by revenge, living a pathetic husk. Then he made up his mind to live fully, properly. Being two of the few who really know Jian Xuan, both Soul and Zuo Shang was aware he wanted a life of freedom. Soul told him to leave this mess behind.
"Go, live how you want to." "You don't belong here." "It won't end well if you choose to stay."
But Jian Xuan already knew his responsibility. He had to be there when the bond between Soul and Zuo Shang breaks.
6 Flames[]
He made it, but lost his only chance to leave the Order in one piece.
He was sucked into a vortex of space of time, and landed in another where and when. Jian Xuan was a dead man in this world. A dead man is free to do whatever he wants. That includes starting over. He could just leave everything behind and be his own man for once.
In the end, he decided to visit Soul and Zuo Shang at the Order, for a drink. He just couldn't leave his best friends behind, even in a new life. Standing outside the door, Jian Xuan suddenly had this urge to find the storyteller in the tavern, who got it all wrong about human bonds.
A proper human bond means when you have some wine, you go share it with your friends, even if it's raining fire outside.
